This original composition is part of Meg Robinson's "Melodies for Sophisticated Strings" series. This double-sided edition includes versions of this piece in either c minor or b minor and is perfect for the intermediate pedal or lever harpist. 4 pages, no pedal or lever changes.

The classic Irish ballad is given a light jazz treatment. Offers two options for coda section. Challenging, but well-suited for the strong intermediate level pedal harpist. Meticulous attention given to passing tones in inner voices, resulting in a complex, rich texture. Many pedal changes, these are marked. 5 pages.

This work, whose title translates to "Dance of the Sprites," is a lovely example of Renie's beautiful and virtuosic compositional style. The piece consists of sweeping gestures in the harp's upper register while the left hand plays chordal and arpeggiated accompaniment figures.

Born in 1941 in Belfort France, near the Swiss and German, Bernard Andres studied at the Conservatoires of Besancon, Strasburg and Paris, where he won a first prize for harp. He was engaged as a soloist in the Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio-France, while pursuing a composing career as well. Bernard Andres is today a leading composer of music for the harp. He writes in a variety of styles for harpists of all skill levels, and has developed his own notation style and a number of special harp effects. Andres is also a noted teacher who has influenced an entire generation of French harpists. His books are well-known required repertoire for most harp students in France, and are great for recitals.
