| Sonata for Harp |
| 2 Available |
Alfredo Casella (1883-1947) was a member of the post-Puccini generation of Italian composers. Educated at the Paris Conservatoire, he studied composition with Gabriel Faure, among others, and was classmates with Maurice Ravel, Manuel da Falla, and Igor Stravinsky. Although he enjoyed the music of his contemporary Debussy, his own compositions were in the more Romantic styles of Mahler and Strauss. His Sonata for Harp is a beautiful and virtuosic work. |
