Tides is a suite of three pieces for solo harp, for either intermediate lever or pedal harpists by harpist and teacher Nancy F. Peters. The three pieces present a variety of moods, techniques, and textures. Emphasis in these works is on interpretation, variation and contrasts.

Composer Nancy Flindell Peters writes of each work:
"In Spring Tide, as the sea sweeps from high to low and back in wide arcs, the harpist must first use both singing tones and rubato to create the intrinsic feeling of the sea. Later, a delicate filigree touch is imperative to represent the bursts of fine iridescent spray at the peak of the waves."
"In Neap Tide the harpist is asked to create a languid, lazy melody enhanced by undulating chords, suggesting the scene of a broad beach surrounding intermittent, impromptu pools. In these pools are darting minnows, depicted by the jabbing fingers of the harpist's left hand, above the quiet ripples of murmuring sixteenth notes in the right hand. A few crabs, represented by open fifths, scuttle about in the shallows of the pools."
"In Full Tide, the harpist needs to use a firm vigorous touch to propel the rolling breakers along, one after the other. Sharp vertical splashes of chords depict the majestic collisions of wave upon wave when they overlap in rapid succession. Toward the end, the sea returns to systematic deep rolling waves with a strong melodic octave chant for the right hand, recalling the sound of the wind high above the breakers."
