At The Harp Connection we are pleased to bring you fine hand-crafted lap and travel harps by Harps Of Lorien. These are heirloom-quality instruments built by Michael and Terry Chastain in Questa, New Mexico.

This hand-crafted 22-string harp weighs just under 5 pounds and will fit in most airline overhead bins. 3-octave range (F to F) starting just below Middle C. The flat back is a hardwood-veneered laminate and the soundboard is made of imported Scandinavian 5-ply aircraft grade Birch.

The Raphael 26 Therapy Harp is designed specifically for the work of bringing healing harp music to those in hospitals and nursing homes, and for vigils at the bedside of the dying. It has a warm, resonant tone but is not overpowering when used in a close setting with a patient. It is lightweight (about 8 lbs) and can easily be transported, an important consideration for the harpist. The neck reinforcement is added for both strength and to give the harp a sculptural feel, adding to its soft curves and rounded edges.

26-String Celtic Harps
While not really a "small" harp per se, our 26-string Celtic harps have a larger soundboard than most therapy harps yet are quite "transportable" for many situations. The larger soundboard will give the harp a greater "presence" when playing (especially in a large room). The Harp Connection offers a 30-day return policy on lever harps and lap harps purchased from our store (except special orders). To be eligible for return, the harp must be in the same condition as when we shipped it to you and it must be returned with all accessories such as tuning keys and books. In the event of a return, you will be responsible for return freight to our Rowley, Massachusetts location. Custom-ordered harps may not be returnable, depending on the requirements of the factory; call us with specific questions about special order returns. Pedal harps can only be returned upon approval of the manufacturer and a 20% return fee will typically apply. We update our web site daily, however all harps are subject to prior sale.
