Celtic tunes for solo lever or pedal harp, handbook for Celtic church service

This book is great for harpers at any level wishing to play well-known tunes such as Be Thou My Vision and Irish Blessing. For lap, lever, or pedal harp, no accidentals. The music is presented in lead sheet format with chord indications, so the beginner can read the music as is, the more advanced harper can make their own arrangement. Contains lyrics based on ancient prayers of saints. These prayers are set to familiar traditionial celtic tunes. 41 pages.

The material in this book is the basis for a Celtic Christian Service presented at Magothy United Methodist Church in Pasadena, MD. It contains everything you need if you are interested in putting on a similar event. There are words for congregational singing, a sample program, and a service guide with bardic readings. It celebrates St. Joan of Arc, St. Patrick, St. Teresa de Avila, St. John of the Cross. St. Augustine of Hippo, and St. Francis. There is some lovely Celtic artwork throughout the book, and a list of suggested further reading.
