Classics at Your Fingertips Book 4
A collection of classical music solo arrangements by harpist and composer Julietta Anne Rabens designed to provide playable solo material to harp beginners.

At Your Fingertips is a series created for teaching harp to adult beginners. It is designed to teach harp to anyone regardless of musical background and ability. Each student will move at his/her own pace, and there is plenty of reinforcement for each concept to use when needed. The music selected is taken from the classical harp repertoire, as well as from classical music in general. There are also pieces based on harp traditions from around the world and original compositions. There is an emphasis on high quality, expressive music that is comfortable to play.
The arrangements are graded in difficulty throughout the series. The first half of Book 1 uses only finger 2 while the second half introduces fingers 1,3 and 4. Book two introduces playing to to four notes simultaneously in each hand. Book three introduces replacing fingers on the strings when changing direction and special techniques. Book four introduces cross-overs, ornamentation, frequent pedal and lever changes and stretches.
Book 4 is 51 pages

Classiques de la Harpe, Coll. 11
Henriette Renié (1875-1956) was a French harpist, composer and pedagogue. She studied harp at the Paris Conservatory - beginning lessons at the age of 9 - with the legendary Alphonse Hasselmans, who also taught Marcel Grandjany (1891-1975) and Carlos Salzedo (1885-1961).
After receiving the Premier Prix for harp at the age of twelve, Renié began counterpoint lessons at the Paris Conservatory, where she was the only female in the class. Renié career as a harpist included a rigorous teaching schedule (Harpo Marx numbered among one of the many students who traveled to France to study with her albeit briefly). She also published the Complete Method for the Harp in order to pass on her teaching and performance methods.
Renié transcribed many keyboard works for harp. These she published in a 12 volume set entitled Les classiques de la harp. These collections included work from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras and were intended to expand the harp repertoire while simultaneously serving as teaching pieces.

Clavier Book Selections
A collection of arrangements by Daniel Burton of works from the Clavier Book for Wilhelm Friedemann Bach composed by J.S. Bach. Bach originally composed this collection of music for his eldest son, Wilhelm. The music of J.S. Bach is quite complex and can be difficult to transcribe for harp. This collection is unique in that the arrangements are suited for intermediate level pedal harpists and are a wonderful opportunity for harp students to experience the work of J.S. Bach.
