This book covers a multitude of areas and questions commonly asked by harpists. Chances are, if you have a question about playing the lever harp, this book has an answer.

Part One covers choosing the correct size and style harp for your needs and desires. It also discusses the issue of teaching yourself to play the harp, something many people are interested in. Part Two covers the basics of using and maintaining a harp: tuning, caring for your harp, holding your harp, etc. Part Three gets into actually making music. They discuss various playing techniques, basic harmony and music theory, playing by ear, playing with other musicians, and adapting "non-harp music." Boieldieu Harp Concerto with string quartet accompaniment

Concerto in three movements in early classical style. For advanced pedal harp; there are many technically difficult passages that require extremely clean executuion, many at fast tempi. This reduction of the orchestral accompaniment for string quartet makes a performance more realistic to achieve without resorting to a piano reduction for accompaniment. Francois-Adrien Boieldieu (1775-1834) composed the Concerto for Harp and Orchestra in C Major in 1795. Included are seperate parts for each of the string quartet players (violin 1, violin 2, viola, cello) and a full score, which the harpist could play from.
