This collection is suitable for intermediate-advanced pedal harpists. The sweeping Viennese elegance of Strauss' waltzes are perfectly suited for the elegant sound and style of the pedal harp. However, one of the primary obstacles in performing Strauss' works on harps is their harmonic complexity. Arranging this work for four pedal harps solves this difficulty because the chromaticism can be divided between the multiple harps. Each harpist also gets to have a fabulous time alternating intricate patterns of chords and arpeggios within the 3/4 waltz rhythm to building the flowing melodic line that is the "Waltz of the Blue Danube."
