Salem, Massachusetts - The Harp Connection today announced the grand opening of a new Harp Service Center operating out of its Salem, Massachusetts retail store. According to The Harp Connection's founder Karen Rokos, Ms. Rachael Stahl recently completed a 12-month training program at the Lyon & Healy harp factory in Chicago and has now joined The Harp Connection on a full-time basis as a Certified Harp Technician.
"For years there has been a shortage of factory-certified harp technicians all over the country, and this has particularly affected harpists on the eastern seaboard. Significantly, Rachael Stahl is a skilled harpist and will be able to work closely with harpists to get the desired sound out of their instruments" said Rokos.
The Harp Connection indicated that Karen and Rachael will be providing harp services both "on-the-road" and out of the store's service department. Services will include string changes, regulations, lever installation and adjustment, gilding touch-ups, as well as shipping services and rebuilding management. Trips to the New England states, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Georgia and Florida are planned. The company further expressed a desire to hear from harpists in outlying areas about their service needs so that additional trips could be planned.
